I'm afraid that's how it is. People don't bother to look at our other pages on our site. Then again, the site layout isn't exactly friendly. It puts people off and they don't bother to delve in deeper.

This may sound like a really dumb question and it may have been answered somewhere else (in which case please link me to where I can find it) but, what is karma for?

Karma is merely a reputation system. People can give you karma if they think a post you made contributes to a topic or is just a good post in general. You automatically get one karma point each day just for posting.

I think I've been missing some karma then or something because I remember quite a while that it was stuck at, I think it was 56...  :(

:) Oh um, so are those the only two reasons we're supposed to give karma? <.< >.>

There doesn't have to be reason to why you give karma. It is up to you, your choice. I always give Stephen a karma point when he helps me out, or if I'm in a good mood I give Mycro, ebuch, Stephen etc karma for no reason at all. Sometime I see someone has 399 karma or something like that, so I give them one so it's even.

This is probably a stupid question, but how do you give people karma?

Look at any of these posts.  Where it says Karma: (number of karma points)
  • beneath the username and avatar, click the plus sign to add a karma point for that poster.

I had that issue when I first came here (make sure you look at someone else's karma), they just up and appeared when Mycro told me of them. (Not really up and appeared.) You can always look at a PM. PM someone, look at the message you sent and click the plus above their avatar pic.

I forget how many posts you need, but you cannot give Karma until you hit a certain post number. You can receive Karma at any time though.

Yeah I am pretty sure that it is fifty considering I just hit that number and I am pretty sure the pluses weren't there before then. Also for me my Karma  seems to add up its not just once per day is this normal?

Could be if people are pressing the plus button. It doesn't just go up once per day for posting. Someon can push the plus every hour. Although I dought that one person is pushing your plus EVERY hour...

Kind of. The 'new Zentie' all the way up to 'Community Manager' or 'insert witty title here' is basically a name tag recognizing how many posts you've made, and if you have a job or task in Gemakei.

I think that covers the basic part of it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or missing something.
