*Hugs back*

Oh, and I still have 3 cornell notes to finish, and two 20 page long non-guided reading pages I have to do, and a lot of math.

I hate math.

I also found out I was overweight, which caused my unusually deep voice.

Well going through with full IB gets you the diploma, though that's apparently not exactly been too useful to a lot of guys I know who got it. I always am happier when gaming the system somehow, and taking like 5 IB classes instead of 6 or something let me get all of the university credit with very little of the work.  (why bother taking the courses in which university credit is iffy, if you can't get a high average they're not useful for scholarship anyway)

Psychology is a great course in university, if you have a good professor. My psych 111 prof was universally loved, on the prof analysis sheets he got 5/6 or 6/6 from everyone in the class, and the class had about 150 students. His Ph.D is from Berkeley, he's done a ton of important scientific studies, taught us the scientific method best. My political science prof is a Harvard Ph.D and on the Board of Directors, and he sure as hell knows what he's talking about, but his exams were a bit iffy, not easy to get above 80 on. Of course they all have Ph.Ds, but some are still good and some bad. Mostly good though.

By the look of things, I wouldn't be suprised if this became the most useful thread I have created.

I am glad all of you are enjoying it, and I hope it helps relieve any stress.

Keep on venting and ranting.

I'm getting senioritis in 7th grade <.<

Because of it, I have to stay during Gym and Band to make up my missing assignments, and possibly after school.

Oh trust me, that's nothing. I can let small assignments by any time really. Its the big, important things leaving 'til the last moment that are bad, and that's what Senioritis is all about ^_^ (in my school, its more of a IB Seniors thing though...not even AP, its mostly just IB). You know, like the 10 minute English Oral where you analyze a piece of literature and discuss it in front of the class...I wrote it the night before I had to present it. Got a 92 or 96 I think (no idea what my grade was on the IB grading scale though, which was either up to 30 or 40 points)

Psychology is indeed a great class...but only when you're actually learning the material. I didnt feel like doing my Psychology Internal Assessment. I wanted to study Psychology, not be a psychologist. I didnt want to replicate a simple experiment and write a professional, scientific report (Im hoping I did well, though. Again, I did it the night before, but I still always put a lot of effort into it). I also dont want to take the damn IB exam for that class!! I mean, an exam thats composed of 3 or 4 questions ONLY...and it takes 2 and a half hours to complete CANT be fun...

Most every English, History, Anthropology, Psychology, and other analytical subject exam in university is a few questions that take several hours to answer. I wrote I think 26 pages for my Ancient History final, all based on 3 questions. Was actually a decent exam though, because the professor was really good and gave us questions you could actually write something on. The worst thing is to have to write a lengthy essay on a question that doesn't have much to it.

Procrastination works great in university, but grades above 90 are rare: 85 and above is seen as an A+, 4.0 GPA and is treated much like 100% was in highschool. As a result, it is extremely rare and pretty much unheard of for someone to get a 90 on a final exam with essays. When I submitted my draft for the midterm essay in the same class, the prof told me to change nothing. (the prof had said before he would tell you to change whatever was necessary to get the highest mark). I still only got a 90% on it, but that was still the highest mark in the class, just because you don't see above 90%, at my university at least. Professors have even been told that their average is too high, if the average starts to get into the 70s.

I'm not really surprised. This whole Multiple Choice System thing doesnt really exist in school in Argentina. If you take a test, you dont get a nice little scantron and bubble in the answers.

If you think about it, my exam is not that bad, not compared to your 26 page one, obviously, but that doesnt make me want to take it any more. And rarely do Juniors in American High School take an exam of this sort anyways.

Just the thought of an Ancient History final exam gives me goosebumps

It's ironic, but the history exams that are multiple choice questions are far less suited to History in general, it's far better to have essay questions for it. Since I enjoy the era of history that the class was on, Ancient History was my favorite class so far (though Engl 151 was awesome as well, with the Tolkien focus), and the exam was my best final exam, the professor did it right in every way I can think of. I'm prouder of my 85 in Hist 110 than I am of getting a 98% average overall in high school: the Hist 110 was harder, took more effort and required more knowledge for me, more enjoyable of course. You can't be taking all courses you hate in university and expect to do too well on them, you'd probably get discouraged quick.

I have to type 6 cornell notes on 10 page long sections in science.

I'm getting lunch detention for standing, when everybody else was messing around, playing with percussion instuments. More importantly, she tore up everybody else's lunch detention notice RIGHT IN MY FACE. About 30 papers were torn in my face, and she yelled out to the class that I still have to serve it.

I've been denied my free rights on sharing my opinion in the world

I kicked this girl's ass in Tactics and Technology of the american revolution, but she still won somehow.

I CAN'T GET PAST FE ON EASY SINCE SHINON AND SOREN DIED >:O

I just realized how much I suck at FE.

I don't even know why I care anymore

I already beat the game, so why should I play it again?

Oh, and some kid stole my lock.

For some reason, my grade in Language Arts dropped to a B.

There's one thing that bothers me in my head.  People tell me I should learn to respect other people's opinion.  I agree, it is wrong to put down other people's opinion.  Now how ironic is this, there are people who don't respect me and my opinion.  One time some dumbass in my English class disrespected me for supporting my favorite athlete from a sport I like to watch because he says he hates that athlete, he laughs and tells me I shouldn't be wearing a t-shirt with my favorite athlete on it but should wear and show support to some other athlete.  I hate people who don't respect my opinion.  If people disrespect my opinion, should I show disrespect to other people and their opinion even though it's wrong?

I find it ironic that if you dont think that opinions should be that highly respected, people wont respect that opinion and tell you that you should...

Respect is mutual. (usually: there are always exceptions) That guy who doesn't respect you and is rude to you, you probably have no respect for him either, right? If you respected him even when he didn't respect you, that would be odd.

And Lefty, to be perfectly honest, none of our opinions, individually, matter right now, from a relative point of view.

If I think the US should pull out of Iraq, nothing happens. If President Bush thinks the US should pull out of Iraq, something would happen. (I'm not American, but its a good example that everyone will know)

If enough people agree on something, their collective opinion matters. Individually, only a few people can cause change with their opinion alone. Of course, ideally, later in life one's opinion would be more valued, but right now, my opinion doesn't mean a whole lot. Basically only my friends and those I associate with actually care what I think, compared to the say a hundred million who care about what Obama or McCain thinks. See what I mean? It's relative.

As Homer Simpson said "now we have a thousand people xeroxing their worthless opinions."

To sum it up in a few words, it ain't friendly or cuddly, but yeah, you have to make people care about your opinion. People don't care for no reason these days, it has to be in their best interest.

So, all individuals are entitled to their opinions, but not all opinions are equal.

At least that is my view on opinions, if its worth anything.:P
