Our copy of the Wii Freeloader finally arrived last night, and we spent the night testing out what titles we could that were laying around.  Sadly we only had NTSC-J GameCube titles (Japan region), but we are happy to report all of them worked perfectly.  Here is some video footage of various Zelda import titles from Japan running on our North American Wii. Be sure to check out the first video as it includes rare gameplay footage of Navi Trackers, which was to be called Tetra's Trackers in North America before ultimately being axed from the Four Swords Adventures package.  It is unique because it includes full voice acting for all characters, except Link.

*Note: So far we only have Twilight Princess and Four Swords+ videos up, the others are still uploading.

Cool. I never saw a movie of Tetra trackers before. But why don't you show some actual gameplay footage. I would have loved that!

It is a device that essentially allows one to circumvent the region lock mechanics of the Wii system. Meaning with such a device, a Wii from any region can play a game from any other region.

Thats pretty cool...

and the Four Sword Tetra Hunters thing...WOW. Freakiest thing I've ever seen, AND the voice acting was great! It sounds like any other anime I've seen and heard in Japanese.....just hearing Tetra talk, actually talk, is so weird...

So, I guess voice acitng in the next Zelda isnt exactly impossible, huh?

Yeah, is that Tetra hunting thing supposed to be involved with the Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass storyline at all.

burnedown98:

It's not related to the games' storylines, minus the characters, and possibly some locations.

Yea it looks more like a minigame than anything else, nothing really related to the story

in the first video, the channels were moved around.  how do you do that?

Hold A+B I believe on the Wii Remote at the same time while your pointer is over a channel, then you can drag it around while holding those buttons, then let go when you want to release it.

I've been wondering how you've been moving the channels around for a long time actually, I just never asked. Thanks for the tip though. Im gonna keep that in mind for when I get VC games....if ever.

Tetra trackers is just wierd 0_o

Was the lines on the start up screen in the first video caused by the freeloader?  And TP looked a little laggy.  Was that from your recording device or the freeloader?

Does anyone know if the 3/20 update blocked the freeloader?  I'm guessing not because of the date but still...

Just a matter of time till AR.  I hope it works on GC too like the freeloader.  I miss my GC AR :'(

I can upload some gameplay videos of Navi's Trackers. I used to have a topic on this game, but I never got a chance to upload more videos. I will make sure to upload some this weekend.
